  热电偶的补偿导线是在一定温度范围内(包括常温0)具有与所匹配热电偶热电动势相同标称值的一对带有绝缘层的到导线,用他们连接热电偶与测量装置,以补偿它们与热电偶连接处的温度变化所产生的误差。

 

  也就是说补偿导线也可以产生热电势,其大小等于热电偶与测量装置之间的温差电势。正确使用时,在冷热端温度不变的情况下,随着热电偶与补偿导线连接处的温度变化,热电偶的温差电势增大补偿导线的温差电势减小,反之亦然,达到补偿热电偶与测量装置之间的温度变化所产生的影响。 测量装置测到的是热电偶产生的热电势与补偿导线产生的补偿电势的叠加电势。


从补偿原理可知:

  当热电偶与补偿导线连接处的温度高于控制室温度时, 补偿导线的补偿电势为正,应该是热电偶产生的热电势【加上】补偿导线产生的补偿电势,接反了相当于加上了一个负值会使指示偏低;

  当热电偶与补偿导线连接处的温度低于控制室温度时, 补偿导线的补偿电势为负,应该是热电偶产生的热电势【减去】补偿导线产生的补偿电势,接反了相当于减去了一个负值会使指示偏高;

  当热电偶与补偿导线连接处的温度等于控制室温度时,补偿导线的补偿电势为零,对指示没有影响。
