小学英语为什么不学习音标

小学英语不学习音标是美国人以及其余英语系国家的人的做法，他们学习的是自然发音，也叫做Phonics，也称字母拼读法，而不是学习KK音标。英语是一种拼音文字，是用字母来表示发音的文字，可以看着字母就能发音，听声音就能写字，美国英语的发音比英国英语更符合规则，但是这种规则是比较复杂的，不像德语、俄语、意大利语和西班牙语，发音规则比较简单。

1. 26个字母的名称和KK音标。

   A a B b C c D d E e F f G g H h I i J j K k L l M m N n O o P p Q q R r S s T t U u V v W w X x Y y Z z
   特别注意的发音。
   A a，它是用它的长音作为名字的，是一个元音字母。
   J j，是一个辅音字母，读jay，在意大利语里，它被称为i lunga，相当于long i，德文中的j是半元音字母，读成yot。比如英国英语用的一套音标叫做DJ音标。
   M m，是一个辅音字母，读成em，要闭唇，如MTV。
   R r，是一个辅音字母，读成ar，要卷舌。英文把r叫做ar，不叫air，这样和l区别得更加清楚。
   F f是唇齿音，S s是齿龈音，L l是边音，它们的名字是在辅音前面加上元音e构成的。在西班牙语和意大利语里这几个字母名称是前后都加上元音e，念efe、eme、ele。
   H h，是一个辅音字母，读成aitch，德语中这个字母和英语的发音相同，念成ha，意大利语、葡萄牙语、法语、西班牙语里这个字母是不发音的，名字是acca、aga、ache、hache。
   

2. 26个字母的声音。读字的时候我们不是按照它们的名字来念，如cat，拼字的时候我们不是念c-a-t，而要念成cat。这26个字母的发音如下。

3. Phonics 发音规则。
   一、短元音。
   在重读闭音节里，元音在字首或两个辅音的中间，这个元音字母发成这个字母的短元音。

   O o ox, hot, top, not, got
   U u up, bus, sum, cup, mud
   二、长元音。
   在重读相对开音节里，元音字母发成这个元音字母的长元音。

   一些元音字母组合，如ai、ay、ea、ee、ey、oa、ow、ui等，都发长元音。

现在的小学课本，涉及的词汇量不多，学习音标用处其实并不大，顶多是会认音标。没有多大的实际用处，我建议如果在外面上了各种英语补习班的，五年级学习音标最好，一次大概就能会。没有上补习班的，六年级或者初一上比较好，也可以听懂。
至于为什么不在学校课本里加入音标，是因为对于小学的学习，很多同学还听不懂，或者学了没有太大用处，毕竟小学单词绝大部分都是硬背下来的。
我建议年龄较大的小孩，例如五年级开始，已经掌握了一定量的词汇，可以直接学音标。
