我的英语老师

I began to like English when I entered the senior high school. I owe it to my English teacher who has stimulated my great interest in learning English and then influenced my future, and whose name is ZhangYan shu --- a name I will keep in my mind forever.
当进入高中时就喜欢英语，我的外语老师张燕舒激发了我学英语的兴趣，并对我未来产生了极大的影响，她的名字我终生难忘。

She showed great love to us which is deeply appealing to our heart. Different from other teachers, she has never been impolite to us. Oppositely, she treated us equally. She made efforts to attract us to the world of English, to understand the beauty of the language and enjoy the cultures of the foreign countries. With her skillful help, the students in our class took great interest in this course and improved rapidly.

She was kind and patient. She did not mind the students’ lowness in learning new knowledge, but it did not mean that she was not strict with us. To make what we had learned strong, she often asked us to recall the knowledge in class. This was also a method to examine the homework she had assigned. In that case, we had to work hard so as to live up to her hope.

My grandfather is very kind to me. He loves me very much. I am the apple of his eye， but when it comes to my study he is very strict. Every day he spends more than one hour examining my homework. With his help， I have been doing well in my studies. My grandfather is also warm-hearted to his neighbors and is always ready to help them. One day， a girl who is one of his neighbors injured her leg carelessly. My grandfather took the girl to the hospital at once and paid the fees with his own savings. My grandfather is a kind and easy-going man， but now he is living in another city with my aunt. We all miss him very much and I hope that I can go to visit him soon.

My grandpa is a retired worker. On summer evenings, we often sat together outside the house enjoying the cool air. It was the time that he told me lots of his experiences before liberation, some of which I've forgotten, but there is one I'll remember forever.
When my grandpa was fourteen years old, he worked in a coal mine. One day, when he and his two workmates were working in the tunnel an unfortunate thing suddenly happened. A part of the tunnel fell down, and they were shut in it. They had no food to eat. When they were hungry they only drank some water there. It was very cold in it. I order to keep warm they hugged one another. In the darkness, they didn't know whether it was day or night, they only felt they had stayed there for a very long time. They were too hungry to speak or move, and thought they would die. At last, the tunnel was dug through. They were saved. They had been there for fourteen days!

My grandpa said they had not been let out at once. If so, they would have died. They were kept at the entrance to the tunnel where it was very dim, and they were fed with some thin porridge. After a day or two, they had recovered a bit, and they were helped out.

After liberation, my grandpa worked very hard, and he was elected as an advanced worker every year. He is also a people representative of our city. He is loved and respected by everyone who knows him, and he lives the rest of his life happily.
